Welcome to Redwood Pantry. By accessing our website at redwoodpantry.com or placing an order with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before using our site or submitting an order.
If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our website or services.
1. About Redwood Pantry
Redwood Pantry is a cottage food operation based in Crystal Lake, Illinois, operated under the Illinois Cottage Food Law. We produce and sell baked goods — including muffins, bars, and cookies — directly to consumers through presale orders, farmers markets, catering, and local delivery.
As a cottage food operation, our products are made in a home kitchen that is not inspected by the Illinois Department of Public Health.
2. Eligibility
By using our website and placing an order, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement. Orders placed on behalf of another person are the responsibility of the person submitting the order.
3. Products & Availability
All products are subject to availability. Redwood Pantry operates on a presale model — orders are accepted during designated presale windows and fulfilled on a scheduled pickup or delivery date. We reserve the right to limit quantities, close a presale early if capacity is reached, or modify the menu at any time.
Seasonal items are available only during their designated seasons. Product descriptions, flavors, and availability may change without prior notice.
Allergen Notice: Our products are made in a home kitchen that also processes tree nuts (almond flour), eggs, and dairy. While we take care to avoid cross-contamination, we cannot guarantee that any product is free from allergen traces. If you have a severe allergy, please contact us before ordering at redwoodpantry@gmail.com.
4. Ordering
Orders are accepted through our website during active presale windows. By submitting an order you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information including name, email, phone number, and delivery address where applicable
- Pay the full order amount at the time of checkout or within 24 hours of order confirmation
- Pick up your order at the designated address during the designated pickup window, or be available to receive delivery on the scheduled date
Orders not paid within 24 hours of submission may be released and made available to other customers. Redwood Pantry reserves the right to cancel any unpaid order without notice.
5. Pricing & Payment
All prices are listed in U.S. dollars and are subject to change without notice. The price displayed at the time of your order submission is the price you will be charged.
Payment is processed securely through PayPal. By completing a payment you agree to PayPal's terms of service. Redwood Pantry does not store your payment card information.
For catering orders, a 50% deposit is required at the time of booking to confirm your reservation. The remaining balance is due on the day of your event. Payment methods accepted for catering include Venmo, Zelle, cash, and check.
6. Cancellations & Refunds
Presale Orders: Orders not paid within 24 hours may be cancelled automatically. Once payment is received, presale orders are final and non-refundable. If you need to make a change to your order, please contact us as soon as possible at redwoodpantry@gmail.com and we will do our best to accommodate you before the baking window closes.
Catering Orders: Cancellations made 72 or more hours before the event date will receive a full refund of any deposit paid. Cancellations made within 72 hours of the event forfeit the deposit. The remaining balance will not be charged for cancellations made before the event date.
Refunds, where applicable, will be returned to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.
In the unlikely event that Redwood Pantry must cancel your order due to unforeseen circumstances, you will receive a full refund and prompt notification.
7. Pickup & Delivery
Pickup orders must be collected at the designated address during the designated pickup window communicated in your order confirmation. Redwood Pantry is not responsible for orders that are not collected during the designated window.
Delivery is available within a limited geographic area. Delivery availability and fees, if applicable, will be communicated at the time of ordering. Redwood Pantry is not responsible for delivery issues caused by incorrect address information provided by the customer.
Once a product has been picked up or delivered, Redwood Pantry is not responsible for its condition, storage, or consumption.
8. Food Safety & Cottage Food Disclosure
All Redwood Pantry products are made in a home kitchen under the Illinois Cottage Food Law. As required by Illinois law, our products carry the following notice:
"This product was produced in a home kitchen that is not inspected by the Illinois Department of Public Health."
Our products are non-potentially-hazardous shelf-stable baked goods. We follow safe food handling practices and use high-quality ingredients in every product. For questions about specific ingredients or allergens, please contact us before ordering.
9. Catering Terms
Catering orders are subject to minimum order requirements as communicated on the catering page. By submitting a catering order you agree to:
- Provide accurate event details including date, time, guest count, and delivery or pickup preference
- Pay the required 50% deposit to confirm your reservation
- Pay the remaining balance on the day of the event
- Acknowledge the cancellation policy outlined in Section 6
Redwood Pantry will contact you within 24 hours of receiving your catering submission to confirm details. A reservation is not confirmed until deposit payment is received.
